Most of the animations shown here were created at the Institute for Technology and Education at the University of Münster by Sebastian Rikowski under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Christian Hein. Over the following years, the animations were gradually expanded and updated to meet new technical requirements.
The HD animations feature multiple levels of representation, moving step by step from concrete examples toward abstraction. This principle was first demonstrated in the work of Dr. Tamara Riehle and further developed here.
The animations in the web animations section were created later as personal passion projects.
A built-in code editor — powered by the open-source PixiJS framework — lets learners build their own animations.
